After 95 years of a long and full life, heaven welcomed Noel, a loving husband, wonderful dad, grandpa, great grandfather and a friend to many. Noel passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Noel was born in San Francisco on January 12, 1929 and spent his childhood in Oakland before moving to San Jose where he stayed until last year when he and Genie moved to Walnut Creek.  Some of his fondest memories of childhood were the summers he spent living in Yosemite Valley with his first cousins.  Noel was a graduate of Bellarmine College Preparatory (1947) and Santa Clara University (1952) where he graduated with a degree in accounting.  Noel went on to become a CPA, a certified public accountant, or as he liked to refer to himself, a Constant Pain in the Ass.  He worked at various firms before starting his own practice where he worked until he retired in 2000.

For 64 ½ years, Noel was married to the love of his life, Genie. They were inseparable and their love and devotion to each other was unique and was evident to everyone who met them.  They raised 5 wonderful children who became the center of their world.  Besides his children's accomplishments, Noel's proudest achievement was that he always provided for them.

Noel and Genie were fortunate to become members of V.I.A. (Valliant Investment Association) where they met lifelong friends who they traveled the world with.  They were also members of the R' Ranch where, as was always the case, Noel made friends.  Many summers with the kids were spent here making memories with friends that would become family.  Noel was also a member of the Cupertino Optimist Club.

Noel enjoyed playing piano, going on cruises (he could often be found in piano bars during his world travels), playing bridge and having a sharp and witty sense of humor.  If you didn't get at least one joke out of him during a visit, something was wrong...with you!!  If you ever called him on the 12th of any month, he would thank you for calling him on his birthday, whether it was January or not.  He will always be remembered as someone who had a smile on his face and always spent time trying to make you laugh.

He is survived by his wife Genie Pearman; his children Jeff (Cheryl), Robert (Cindy), Mark (Lisa), Laurie (Damon) and Jon (Kelli) as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Frances, his infant daughters Debbie and Margaret, his granddaughter Kelly and his grandson Justin.

Noel's Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 13718 Saratoga Ave, Saratoga, CA on Thursday, July 18th with a viewing at 11 am followed by a mass at 12pm.  His interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr, Los Altos, CA 94024.  A reception will follow.
