Usha Rajagopalan, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Sunnyvale, California. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selfless service. Her warmth and devotion touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born in Chennai, India, Usha grew up in the town of Neyveli. From an early age, her exceptional intellect, particularly in mathematics, set her apart. She embarked on a career in engineering at a time when it was rare for women to do so, and she excelled in her field. She later married Sridhar and moved to Houston, Texas, in 1989, where they built a wonderful life together. After obtaining her master's in engineering from Rice University, she found success in a distinguished professional career that included several patents.

But Usha was the proudest as the mother to her son, Vicram, whom she adored more than anything in the world. So much so that she chose to step away from her work to focus entirely on raising her son. From that moment on, her life was devoted to the service of others and her religious faith. Her selflessness, boundless love, and unwavering support were the pillars on which her family, and her personal community thrived.

A woman of remarkable talents, Usha had a keen eye for design and beauty, with a deep appreciation for the world around her. She had incredible empathy and formed lasting bonds with an extensive network of family and friends. Throughout her life, Usha was committed to serving others whether in her professional accomplishments, her support of family, or her devotional work.

Usha's spirit remains a cherished part of our lives. She lives on in her husband, son, parents, sister, cousins, family, and countless friends, all of whom will carry her memory with them. Her legacy of goodness, kindness, and strength continues to inspire us, and we find comfort in the memories we shared with her.

The visitation and celebration of life will be held from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on Dec 31st, 2024 at the Alameda Family Funeral and Cremation, Saratoga, CA. The family will perform puja and cremation on Jan 1st, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to any charity of your choosing.
