Obituary

"Gently, gently as she lived her life, gently has it ended."
Alice Daley Dwyer, born in 1928 in San Mateo, grew up in Burlingame and Hillsborough and met her future husband Bob when she was still a freshman at Burlingame High School. They married after the War and enjoyed 68 years together.
Maiden, mother and matriarch, mother of four children: Carrie, Robert, Guy and Daniel; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 11.
She was an early member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and devoted many hours to the church's activities, ranging from the origination of the Echo Shop in Saratoga to sewing choir robes. She was a longtime member of P.E.O. and was a past president of Chapter AQ.
Alice loved nothing more than to see family members love each other and help one another; she was always saddened to see foolish people ruin their lives and said so. Her favorite advice on parting was a smiling "Behave yourself."
Graveside services with her family were held at Madronia Cemetery in Saratoga.
