On Sunday, November 13, 2022, Anna Knoernschild Aseltine peacefully passed from this life to be with her Lord Jesus in heaven at the age of ninety. Anna was born on November 18, 1931 in Neyyoor, India to Christian missionaries. Anna lived in India until she was thirteen years old, when her family returned to America and settled in California. Anna went on to get her teaching credential from UC Berkeley, where she met her husband, Thomas Aseltine. While Tom was finishing up medical school, Anna taught elementary school. Together they had four children: Erich, Caryl, Bruce, and Bettie. Tom and Anna raised their family in Saratoga, California.

Anna was a loving mother, a doting grandmother of nine, and a great grandmother of six. Anna was known by many at her church as "Grandma Anna." She loved to tell stories to the children  and to teach the ladies in Women's Bible Study. Anna had a passion for the people of India, where she supported a Christian orphanage and a Bible School. Anna would always remind us to "Look up! Lean hard! and Keep on Trusting Jesus!"

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Valley Church, 1085 N. Stelling Rd, Cupertino 95014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "The Valley Church" designated to NLCCA (the orphanage in India that Anna supported).
