Born in Leominster, Massachusetts, the second of six children, to Alfred and Therese Hemingway. Anne was privileged to have had a Catholic elementary and high school education.  Her parents and their sacrifices afforded her the opportunity to study at Fitchburg State College.  Upon graduating, Anne drove from Massachusetts to California with a friend for her first position as a teacher.

Anne taught elementary school in the Corona, Cypress, and Sunnyvale, CA school districts, ultimately leaving behind her career of 17 years in order to raise her children. Favorite pursuits later included working at Orchard Supply Hardware and volunteering at the Saratoga Public Library.

Anne is survived by her husband Arnold, daughter Laura of Pomona, CA, son Brett of Sacramento, CA, brother Alfred Hemingway Jr. (Sandi) of Stamford, CT, sister Rosalyn Navaroli (Joe), brothers John Hemingway (Sue), and Paul Hemingway (Yvonne) all of Leominster, MA, William Hemingway (Beth) of Gardner, MA, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, December 5 ^th from 2:00 – 3:30pm and 6:30 – 8:00pm at the Alameda Family Funeral Home, 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road, Saratoga, CA 95070.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6 ^th at 3:00pm at Saratoga Federated Church, 20390 Park Place, Saratoga, CA 95070.
