Anne was married to her beloved husband Herbert W. Wipfler 67 years (pre deceased April 26, 2022).

Anne was born middle daughter of Stanley and Martha Richter in George Walde, Czechoslovakia . The boarder where she grew up changed a great deal back then, as the family ancestry was Austrian.

She grew up in a big generational home where the family business then was in baking and textiles, and all the girls (sisters Mary (deceased), and Ella) learned to bake and sew at an early age.

As the country border changed several times in Anne's youth, eventually the family was without a home and without a country and the family immigrated to Canada when she was 14.

Excited to make the journey to Canada, the family flew seven flights over 6 days from Prague to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to London, London to Shannon Ireland, Ireland to Gander Newfoundland, Newfoundland to Halifax Nova Scotia, Halifax to Montreal, and last, Montreal to Toronto.

And, they started all over. They were among the first German/Austrian immigrants to Canada after the war arriving September 25, 1948. Again, back to baking and textiles.

Anne married Herbert (Herb) July 21, 1954, had three loving children, Ronald, Gary (married Barbara) and Brian (deceased 1982).

Anne and Herb had four loving grandchildren Brian, Nathaniel, Angela, and Bridget.

Anne enjoyed and welcomed her first great grandchild Sarah Reh (parents Brian and Amanda).

Anne always enjoyed singing in German Choir and watching the grandchildren dance and music recitals, track meets, baseball games, and could always be counted on for last minute baby or dog sitting!

She joins Herbert (and son Brian) in peace and eternal rest at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos,                                                                the memorial service was Sat March 15.
