For I am even now being offered and my end is near. I have made a good fight, I have come to the end of my journey, I have kept the faith.
II Timothy 4:6-7
After his battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and its complications, Austin Chang completed his arduous journey. A heartwarming son to his mother, May Kung and father, Eugene Chang as well as a tender loving brother to Allyson Chang, Austin has been a thoughtful, kind, and caring young man. He lived his whole young life in Saratoga. Austin went to school at Argonaut, Redwood Middle and graduated from Saratoga High School in May of 2013. Austin had been attending the University of San Diego majoring in Biology / minoring in Chemistry until the beginning of his senior year when he had to take a leave of absence. Austin's interests included mobile games and cooking. His parents and several friends believe that Austin could have been a great chef.
Austin has deeply touched many who have encountered him. Many of his friends and peers have indicated that his smile and friendliness have provided console, support and love to all who ask. He has helped many find a place to belong, a shoulder to cry on, and companionship in a tough world. His ability to communicate, his easy going nature and his sense of humor gave others inspiration and purpose in the classroom, dorm life and work.
All who knew Austin will miss him dearly. 'Til we meet again under The Creator's love.
