Carlos de Leon passed away quietly on March 21, 2021. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School class of 1969. He attended San Antonio College, thereafter was employed by the City of San Antonio in the Chief Prosecutor's Office for many years. Carlos the youngest of seven children, five sisters and one brother, with one of his sisters, DiAnna being his twin.

At an early age, he showed interest in baseball and softball, eventually this became his passion. Surrounded by a family of sport inspired first generation Americans: Carlos joined the Thomas Edison High School sports curriculum. Being left-handed, he successfully worked in perfecting his skills. Building a reputation as a competitive team player. He played baseball as child and on into his adult life. Through his adult years he played softball and basketball with the JP Hustlers, a city of San Antonio league team. Carlos retired to the San Francisco Bay Area, Saratoga, Ca.

He is preceded in death by his father, Juan P. de Leon, mother, Maria G. de Leon, older brother, Juan de Leon, aka "Juan Cana", sister, Mary Blankedship and husband Dean. He is survived by his two sons, Jeff de Leon and Todd de Leon, one daughter Carla de Leon, one grandson, Torrin de Leon, his sisters Olga de Leon Schulman and husband Michael, Irene de Leon Williams and husband Gregg, Yolanda de Leon Nock, DiAnna de Leon King and husband Bill, sister-in-law Estella de Leon, and numerous nephews and nieces.

There will be a private family gravesite service at the Madronia Cemetery in Saratoga, California. It will be Officiated by Father Gary Thomas from Sacred Heart Catholic church in Saratoga, California, where he was a member.
