Saratoga
Carole Ruth Cobb (Albright), 84, of Saratoga, California passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer and dementia.
Carole was born in Youngstown, Ohio, the oldest daughter of the late Karl and Ruth Albright. She was the spouse of Edward Cobb with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Cobb-Boykin (JeanPaul) of Petaluma, California; Laura Hrabovsky (Kevin) of Camarillo, California; Linda Barkasy (Michael) of Oxford, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Allison, and Ryan; as well as her sister, Kaye Markov and brother, Karl Albright (Glenda).
Carole always knew she wanted to be a teacher and began educating children right after graduating Youngstown State University. She worked several years before taking time off to raise her daughters. When her children left home, she returned to the classroom as a first-grade teacher at Orchard School in San Jose and then later at Capri Elementary School in Campbell. After retiring, she volunteered for many years at the Book-Go Round in downtown Saratoga. She loved a good mystery or spy novel, musical theatre, and travel.
