Daniel passed away peacefully after a complicated illness.  Born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, Daniel was the son of John and Winifred Bilkey.  He graduated at Edsel B. Ford High School.  He spent one year of college at Ferris State University.
In 1982 Daniel married Paz Quezada.  They settled in San Jose, CA.  They raised one child, Vanessa who is doing well.
He joined and enjoyed the U.S. Navy.  He was assigned a few secret government projects. He learned and excelled in programming.  When he was honorable discharged from the military,  he was hired by IBM and stayed there until retirement.
He was an avid fisherman, a good golfer and an animal lover.
He is survived by his wife, Paz, daughter, Vanessa and son-in-law Firas and grandchildren, Benjamin and Gabriel.  Also by his brother, Richard, sister-in-law, Margaret and nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Viewing will be 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Alameda Family Funeral and Cremation.  Funeral Mass at 10:00 am Wednesday December 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Cupertino Parish, interment to follow at 11:30 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Los Altos.
