David Charles Baker, 60, passed away in San Jose, CA on January 20, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family following heart surgery

He was born in San Jose on September 17, 1961, the only child of Adeline Russo Baker.  He was raised by his loving mother, grandmother and a very large extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins.  Dave attended Willow Glen High School, then proceeded to work in the construction trade, learning and mastering his skills before eventually becoming a contractor and managing a variety of civil, commercial and residential construction projects throughout California.

Perhaps his greatest passion in life though was his family which included his longtime girlfriend, their five children and two precious granddaughters.  He was so proud of his beautiful family and all their endeavors and accomplishments.  Dave's love of family was not limited as it embraced his circle of buddies from elementary through high school, business associates, neighbors, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and beyond.  He loved people and easily expressed that.

Dave loved to travel with his family, taking road trips throughout California, traveling to Yellowstone in Montana, visiting Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Hawaii, New York, Massachusetts and Mexico.  And then the trip of a lifetime to Italy to experience and understand their family heritage.

One of Dave's favorite holidays was the 4 ^th of July, inviting as many people as possible to enjoy barbeque, libation and then fireworks by the lake.  He looked forward to honoring our country and enjoying a beautiful gathering of friends and family for all American fun.

Dave was a sports fan through and through, loving his Giants, the Sharks and the Raiders and passing this passion on to the family. Whether viewing at home or attending the games in person, memories were made and so much fun was shared.

Those who remain to remember him include Dave's longtime girlfriend, Vikki Carmitros, children CJ, Michelle and Marilyn Baker, Chris Carmitros, grandchildren, Annabelle and Danielle Baker and one soon to be born grandchild, daughter-in-law, Katrina Kraynick-Baker and many cherished cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.   His embrace was far reaching.  He is and will be greatly missed.
