Dorothy (Dora) Schaffer, 98, passed away on Sunday November 6, 2022.

Dora was born in 1924 and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. In 1948 she married Donald Schaffer of Shadyside, OH, with whom she shared 64 wonderful years.

She was preceded in her death by her parents Rebecca and William, her husband Donald, her brother Morris, and one sister Lillian. She is survived by her sisters Sarah and Rose, and her children Sandra, Steven, and Sherry.

Dora was the adoring grandmother of Allan, Kimberly, Marie, Valerie, and Andrew, and great-grandmother of Alexander, Samuel, Diego, and Allison.

She had a wonderful sense of humor, traveled the world, loved gardening, was renowned for her cooking and baking, and took immense joy most of all in the company of her family.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation 12341 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd. Saratoga, CA. Followed by burial at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella CA.
