Ed has joined his adored wife Claire who passed away in 2006. He leaves extended family members in the Central Valley, fond friends around the country and Claire's family who loved him, and friends in Canada.  Ed and Claire lived in Los Gatos since 1973 and were inseparable. They were a couple young at heart and are now forever together.

Growing up in San Mateo, he was the only child of Ed Gianni and Lilly Charlothe Lang.  His love of cars came from his father. As a child, he would go with his father to see the new auto models and built model airplanes. His love of music and the arts came from his mother, Lilly, who wrote poetry along with her pen and ink drawings.  Ed played the drums in his high school band and enjoyed playing his music at his home. He was a graduate of Golden Gate University and had a forty year career as a CPA.  His career gained him a following of many clients who became friends.

Ed loved sailing on the San Francisco Bay and enjoyed taking trips with Claire in their nice cars, hosting friends and family in their home and traveling with Claire to visit them over the years.  Ed could smile with his eyes and shared his joy for life and laughter. His life of the party spirit with friends and family was legendary.  His sailing buddies remember him with great fondness.

Ed's inurnment will be private, family only, due to coronavirus restrictions.  Please share your memories and thoughts for him here.
