Elizabeth Claire "Libbe" Zieber passed away at the age of 79 on December 28, 2022. Libbe was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 26, 1943 to Thelma and Jewel Davis. As a child her family moved to California first settling in Oakland and eventually moving to Palo Alto. She graduated from Cubberley High School in Palo Alto. On June 18, 1966 she married Fred Zieber. They settled in Cupertino and raised their 3 children together (Debby, Rob & Betsy).

Libbe was the light of her home, warmly welcoming all and hosting many family gatherings over the years. From backpacking with a posse of children to a potpourri of sports including bowling, tennis and golf, Libbe was keen for any adventure. Creative and inquisitive, she built furniture, crafted, painted, quilted and crocheted her grandchildren's favorite throws. She was a devoted wife and mother and a fabulous cook. Her recipes have been passed down through the generations. She had a wide array of friends and she enjoyed special lunches together with friends throughout her life.

Libbe's legacy of a joyful life well-lived carries on in those whose lives she touched.

Libbe is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years Fred Zieber; her sister Susan Bailey and her husband Tom; her daughter Debby Merryman and son-in-law Ed; her son Rob Zieber and daughter-in-law Tara; her daughter Betsy Grandjean and son-in-law Patrick; and 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the in-home caregivers (Kathie Fitch & Victoria Sito) who cared for Libbe during her illness as well as the staff of the Mountain View Health Care Center.
