Elmer C. Fought, 89, passed away at home in Saratoga on December 14, 2016 after a short illness. He was born to Charles Edward Fought and Lena Elizabeth (Gennett) Fought on July 13, 1927.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Euna, after 72 years of marriage. Their marriage gave them 7 children, Michaela Lango (Richard) of Santa Clara, Dennis Fought (Marianne)  of San Jose, Rhoda Verner of Saratoga (proceeded in death), Cheryl Milward of San Jose, Daryl Fought of Grass Valley, Charles Fought (Cyndy) of Las Vegas, and Janet Fought (proceeded in death), 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Elmer spent most of his childhood in Santa Cruz, CA. He moved his family to Santa Clara

County in 1951 and has been a resident of Saratoga since 1965. He was a machinist by trade, enjoyed history and genealogy.  He had wonderful stories to tell about past family members and the olden days. He will be dearly missed.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 22 ^nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 13716 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga, CA 95070. Rosary at 11:00 A.M.  Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. Celebration of Life will be held at Hakone Estate and Gardens, 21000 Big Basin Way, Saratoga, CA 95070 at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will be held at a later date at Madronia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests

memorial contributions are sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saratoga or to Pathways
