Emelita Aguinaldo Spindler was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in San Jose, California at the age of 63.
Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and friends. Emelita was known to her family and friends as Emie or Amy.
She was born in Kawit Cavite, Philippines to Jose and Wendelina Aguinaldo.
Emie received an AA degree in accounting from Santa Isabella College in Manila, Philippines. She emigrated to the United States in 1975, living in Honolulu, Hawaii for a year before settling in San Jose, California in 1976.
Emie met her husband, Steve in 1983 at Datapoint Corp where they both worked. They married on May 25, 1991 at Holy Family Church in San Jose. Emie spent eight years as the owner and designer of Regency Florist in San Jose.
Emie and Steve enjoyed taking cruises together, visiting Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Emie also enjoyed spending time with her large extended family. They remember her kindness and generosity and the way she doted on all the young children in the family spoiling them with sweet treats.
Emie is survived by her husband Steve, daughter and son-in-law Aileen and Jason Styczynski and two beautiful granddaughters, Micaela and Kylee, her mother, Wendelina, brother Angel Aguinaldo (Carmen, deceased) and 6 sisters, Ellen Encarnacion (Hermie), Evelyn Ayson (Romie), Esther Gobok (Tony), Edwina Bautista (Manual), Lily Gobok (George) and Lulu Huelar (Marc), as well as 33 nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father Jose.
Family and friends are invited to Alameda Family Funeral Home, Saratoga, Wednesday, October 3rd for a Viewing 11:00 am - 8:00 pm with the Rosary and Vigil at 6pm. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 4 at Holy Family Parish, 4848 Pearl Ave., San Jose. Burial to follow at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos.
