Erich Gustav Beyer was born on  August 2, 1963 in San Jose, CA to Duke and Penny Beyer.
He lived in Oregon and New Mexico for a short period as a child and settled as an adult in San Jose. He played baseball  from age 8 to 15 and then in his late 20's for the company softball team as a pitcher while working at Adept Technology where he worked for 10 years as a Quality Assurance Technician. He also played on the "Work Lunch Crew" basketball team at Adept.
Erich loved sports and was a huge Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche fan. He was well known for sporting Broncos attire and being a very passionate and loud fan during football season. He especially loved to joke and tease his friends and family, especially his daughter who roots for the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and UFC with his sister JaNean and his brother-in-law Darren.
Erich was a kind, strong, loving Father, Brother, Son, and Grandfather. Erich's proudest accomplishment aside from being a Father was becoming a Grandfather, or as his Grandson Ryder called him "Pop-Pop". He was very proud of that title. Ryder absolutely adored him and he loved his Grandson very much. He was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2001 and suffered kidney failure in 2015. For the last 3 years, he was on dialysis 3 times a week at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he became a favorite patient of the staff there and where he made many friends, including his favorite nurse and close friend Rich.
Erich will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His ability to light up a room with his sarcasm, jokes and humor will always be remembered. Erich passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday November 7, 2018. He will be immensely missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was survived by his parents Duke and Penny, his sister JaNean, his brother in law Darren, his daughter Krista, his Grandson Ryder, and his cat and best friend Tiger (Roger Cheetah Chicken Boy).
