Dr. Saldania was a native of Hawaii and born December 7, 1932 to Fortunato and Liceria Calunod Saldania. He passed away at his beloved home October 4, 2015. Age 82.Devoted father of Victor F. Saldania and his wife, Martha Sanchez Saldania of San Antonio, TX and predeceased by his daughter, Liceria "Jeannie" Saldania.Caring brother of Cornelia Fernandez and dear uncle of Martin and Victor Fernandez.He was a graduate of Punahou Academy in Hawaii where he was active in the Junior Varsity Basketball and Track Teams. Dr. Saldania graduated from the Michigan University School of Dentistry with a degree in Doctor of Dental Science (D.D.S.).He moved to California serving as a Captain in the Army Armed Forces out of Fort Ord in Monterey, CA during the Korean War era.Dr. Saldania had a very successful dental practice in Saratoga and was a member of La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos playing golf and serving as Chairman of the Board. Friends and former patients are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Alameda Family Funeral Home 12341 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd. Saratoga. A reception will immediately follow the service.
