Obituary

In the early hours of September 6 th , Franklin Walter Hale age 89, passed away peacefully with his wife and two daughters by his side. He is survived by his loving devoted wife Dorothy Hale of 72 years, and two daughters Nancy Rogers and Jackie Jones, younger brother Walter William Hale II. Four grandchildren; Brook Rogers, Drew Rogers, Kyle Gibbons and Bryan Gibbons. Two great grandchildren; Everly Gibbons and William Rogers.

Frank was born in Amador City, California to his parents Walter and Louise Hale. He attended elementary school in Willow Glen California and high school at Campbell High School, Campbell California. Frank went on to attend San Jose State University earning his Master's degree in Education.

On November 11, 1949 Frank married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Kamuf. He was an educator for most of his life, teacher, high school administrator and a graduate professor at San Jose State University. Later in his career he became vice president of special services for the California Teachers Association.

Frank and Dorothy moved into retirement settling in Aptos, California. They experienced a wonderful life traveling all over the world. Frank loved to collect antiques, especially clocks and refurbish them. He also loved to read and had quite a large collection of books. In retirement, he and Dorothy enjoyed playing golf together.

Frank will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His stories and sense of humor will live on in each and every one he touched. "A good life leaves behind seeds that keeps on growing"
