Gin-Pao Lu, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 29, 2022 in Cupertino California.

He was born in Maioli, Taiwan in 1948 and graduated from National Chiao Tung University in 1972. After serving in the Taiwan Army, Gin-Pao immigrated to the United States in 1976 to continue his studies in computer science at Wayne State University. In 1982, after moving to California, Gin-Pao married his wife, Lucy. He raised two children, Jeffrey and Joyce. Gin-Pao led a successful and fulfilling career leading engineering teams at various technology companies in Silicon Valley before suffering a severe stroke in 2015 that left him permanently disabled. He devoted his life to his family and work.

Gin-Pao is survived by his wife, Lucy, his son, Jeffrey, his daughter, Joyce, and his granddaughter, Sophia.

A memorial and funeral service will be held at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation on Wednesday, August 10 at 10:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Lunch will be provided following the funeral service (details to follow).
