Gloria Marie MacDonald (née Hannon) passed away peacefully as she slept in her home on March 24, 2023. At the time of her passing, she rejoined her husband of 71 years, Alexander L. MacDonald at rest (1926-2017). Both natives of Massachusetts, Gloria was born in Randolph, and grew up in Braintree, MA. She is the cherished mother of four children: Gail, Bruce (Karen), Deborah (Jeff), and David MacDonald (d. 1997), and the treasured grandmother of Shannon (Greg), Hailey, and Lindsey. She will be deeply missed by her surviving sisters Anne and Claire, and she rejoins her late siblings: Dorothy, Maude, Louis "Bud", David, and John. She is remembered with love by her many nieces and nephews. Gloria and Alex were longtime residents of Saratoga and Almaden, where they had many wonderful friends. Gloria will also be missed by the community at The Villas of Saratoga where she spent the last years of her life. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Madronia Cemetery in Saratoga, and private services will be held at the Alameda Family Mortuary.
