When he was in Vietnam, he ran his own medical clinic as a
pharmacist and nurse practitioner. He treated the entire village and
wounded soldiers during the Vietnam War. He never turned anyone
down without money. Aside from being a medical clinic owner, he also
was a City Council Member in Quan 8, Hung Phu, Ho Chi Minh.
He was in charge of governing issues to improve the city where he
resided. Although he was well respected by his community and had a
prestigious career, he wanted to bring his family to America to pursue a
better life with opportunities. Because of his hard work and resilience,
his entire family was able to migrate to America in 1987. He was the
backbone and strength that carried everyone to start a brand new life.
He was a strong role model to his family and pushed his family to work
hard. He is the reason why his family is successful in life. He taught
everyone that education opens opportunities and so he never missed any
of his children or grandchildren's graduation ceremonies.
He lived his life with an open heart and always greeted everyone
with a kind smile. If he did not have much, he had everything because
he had his family. He loved each and every one of his family members
dearly and always wanted everyone to be together and happy. In his
later life, he enjoyed painting, taking care of his garden, and most
importantly, taking care of his wife. He will truly be missed by all but
his memories and spirits will live on through all the people's lives he has
touched. The entire family wishes to extend our sincere thank you to
everyone through this time.
