Hazel died early this Sunday with family at her side. I think she just couldn't wait to see Jesus any longer. Her service will be held at First Baptist Community Church in Monte Sereno on Sat. May 7, 2016 at 2:30 pm. She was born in Danforth, ME to Walter and Edith (Craig) Lee.
She was the oldest of four sisters and one brother. Hazel had two great men in her life, Robert C. Falconi and Orland K. Anderson. Hazel is survived by sisters Joyce and Sharon, daughter Christina, and sons Greg and Tim. She is also blessed with grandchildren Alaric, David, Andrea, Stephanie, Devon and Keith. ?
Hazel had a hard life, burying two husbands and a daughter. That didn't stop her from graduating San Jose State in 1977 and starting her own business as a CPA. She was a devout Christian woman who loved to make quilts, sing with the church choir and Zingers, and do crossword puzzles with Estelle Donovan. She was also the best cook in the world! Her "Downeast" sensibilities did not prevent her from always helping others.
A botched heart procedure in 2008 took her health, and she fought horrific odds to return home after eight months in the hospital. She also had several bouts with severe pneumonia, and twice broke her leg; but stubbornly returned home once again! Finally, like a cat that'd used all of her nine lives, her big heart gave out. We shall miss her until we see her again
