Long time San Jose resident, Duke Beyer (AKA: Horst Beyer) passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.  He exploded into this world while bombs were flying in Berlin Germany on March 27, 1943.  He was married to and survived by Penny Beyer (AKA: Sophia Beyer) since March 23, 1963.  He was a retired hardworking low bed truck driver.  During his retirement years, he was a neighborhood mascot and security watch dog, spending most of his days outside with the garage door open, sitting at his workbench, always willing to shoot the crow with you.  He was proud to be a father, grandfather and great grandfather "Opa".  He is survived by his daughter JaNean Reynolds, granddaughter Krista Beyer, great grandson Ryder Benson, and his son-in-law Darren Reynolds.

The memorial will be an "open mic" and informal, just they way he would have wanted it, so please come prepared to share a story, memory, or inappropriate joke. Dress code is what you like, he disliked having to dress in black, so you don't need to either.

A get together reception will be held immediately following the celebration of life service.
