Irene Love Creager, aged 91, of San Jose, CA passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on September 18, 2016. Born in San Francisco in 1925, grew up in Burlingame, later became a long time resident of Campbell. She attended Campbell High School in what is now the Campbell Community Center building.
She worked all her life, starting in 1941 as a telephone operator at age 16, until she retired as an Administrative Assistant with Santa Clara University at the age of 73.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Wilbur and daughter April. She is survived by two children, Paul Creager and Lori Williams, as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 12770 Saratoga Ave. Saratoga, CA on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alzheimer's research.
