Jacky Huynh, a beloved individual known for his kind, loving, joyful, and humorous personality, left us on September 13, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Phoebe Huynh; his children, Vivian Le, Natalie Tran, Andy Huynh, Jennifer Pham, Jimmy Huynh, and Ricky Huynh; his sons- and daughter-in-laws, Minh Le, Hung Tran, Arianna Huynh, Darrel Pham, Hang Huynh, and Alisa Huynh; 10 grandchildren, Athena Le, Jaden Le, Tiffany Tran, Bradley Tran, Tyler Huynh, Liam Huynh, Carter Pham, Hudson Huynh, Riley Pham, and Lucas Huynh; his mother, Ngu Luong; and his siblings, Jenny Chow, Nancy Wong, Sue Wong, and Johnny Wong.

Jacky was born in Saigon, Vietnam on June 25th, 1957, to father Duong Huynh and mother Ngu Luong. He was born into a family who owned a well-known shoe manufacturing company as well as a clothing store that provided alteration and tailoring services.

At the age of 20, he fled Vietnam to America and settled in Reno, Nevada to start his next chapter. There, he met the love of his life, Phoebe Huynh. It was in Reno that they were married and began building their family. Considering the limited job opportunities in Reno for his children's future, he and his wife, with their 4 children relocated to San Jose, CA, where their last two children were born, totaling a party of 8.

Jacky's family were his greatest treasures in life. He warmly reflected that his proudest moment in his life is when his eldest daughter, Vivian, was born. To raise all 6 children, Jacky chose to deal with sleep deprivation and work night shifts to provide his own childcare rather than sending them to daycare. When he "retired" he carried on this mentality and took care of several grandbabies full-time.

Having 10 grandchildren, it was joked that Jacky was a collector of grandchildren. Grandpa Jacky was every grandbaby's favorite. He was the funniest, silliest, and goofiest loving grandpa any grandbaby could ask for. His magical personality could always make them laugh or smile. He was always willing to make the trendiest TikTok videos with his grandkids, even in public. Without fail, Grandpa would always whisper, "Hey, you want ice cream? Go outside," referring to the garage, where he kept a freezer stocked with various kinds of ice cream for them to enjoy.

He always put his family ahead of himself, often saying, "As long as you guys like it" or "Whatever you guys want." It was rare to have a day without Jacky seeing family, as everyone loved being around him.

Jacky's guilty pleasure in life was good food and good drinks with good company. He was always the life of the party. He taught others to always be happy and enjoy life as much as possible. It's no wonder his kids' friends also called him "Dad." His laughter will forever be missed by his loved ones.

Although Jacky is no longer here, his memory and legacy will live on in all those he touched. He will forever remain in our hearts.

A funeral service will be held at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation on September 20th, 2024 @ 9am.
