James Allyn Ousley died peacefully in his home Sunday, March 13, 2016, just before his 86th birthday. He has lived in Saratoga for 46 years. Jim was married 52 years to Dorothy Ousley who preceded his death. He found love again late in life and is survived by his wife of one year, Lucille Belomy Ousley. Jim leaves behind his three children: Neil Ousley, Lisa Aycock, and Laura Harryman and 5 grandchildren: Jacqueline Lockhart, Michael Aycock, Stephanie Aycock, Connor Harryman, and Jordyn Harryman. He was blessed with 5 great grandchildren: Wyatt and Peyton Lockhart and Riley, Liam, and Ariel Aycock.
Born and raised in St. Louis, he moved to California in 1956. He spent his career working for Lockheed. It wasn't until after he retired that he was able to proudly share that he had spent most of his career working on one of the early spy satellites, the Corona, which is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum. It was these types of achievements that helped in the ending of the Cold War.
Funeral Services will be held on March 22 at 11:00 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Saratoga.
The family requests donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation http://www.michaeljfox.org or The Parkinson's Foundation http://www.pdf.org in lieu of flowers.
