Dr. James L. Striebel passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family.

James was born on February 18, 1934. He was the third and youngest son of Arthur Striebel and Marguerite (Padberg) Striebel. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His father was with the Pennsylvania Railroad, and he moved with his family to Chicago, Dayton and Pittsburgh.

He married his best friend, M. Marcia Steele in 1964. They had five wonderful children, Joan (Brendon), Ellen, Kenneth (Betsey), Chris (Vicki), and Anne (Joe). He leaves four grandchildren: Kylie, Kamryn, William and Matthew. He loved spending time with his family and summer family vacations were always an exciting adventure.

James practiced internal medicine with Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara for 33 years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed his practice and patients at Kaiser and had a passion for serving his community. He is predeceased by his parents and his oldest brother Richard and is survived by his brother Jack. He has many nieces and nephews.

A private service was held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Maryknoll chapel in Los Altos with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
