Jean Chan passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 74.

She was born in Taiwan on January 3, 1951.  She moved to the USA after graduating high school. While attending school in Berkeley, she met her husband Thomas, with whom she was happily married for over 40 years.

They lived in Canada for 2 years before moving back to California permanently.  They ultimately settled down in Saratoga in 1985, living in the same house for the rest of their lives.

She worked in finance for about 10 years before pivoting into the real estate industry, where she was highly successful as a broker before retiring after another decade.

She enjoyed exercising, as she focused on running and swimming on a daily basis.  She also was passionate about her home garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jean is survived by her son Lawrence, daughter-in-law Sharon, granddaughter Lauren, and her brother and two sisters.
