After a prolonged illness, Jack Christensen of Saratoga, a prominent,

retired retail garden center owner, passed away at the age of 85 on

Thursday, December 30, 2016.

He is survived by wife Pat, sons Larry and Jere Christensen, step

daughters Shannon Jessup and Carey Richard Lloyd and 7 grandchildren.

Jack was a proud member of Saratoga Rotary and twice president of

California Association of Nurserymen. He was pleased to be able to

donate 60 acres and two houses across from Sanborn Park to Santa Clara

County Parks and Recreation for the use and enjoyment of the citizens of

Santa Clara County.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's name may be made to Saratoga

Rotary Charitable Foundation, PO Box 96, Saratoga, Ca. 95070.

A Memorial Service is being planned.
