Jose Arac Aguinaldo, beloved husband, father and grandfather of Morgan Hill, CA, peacefully returned to his Creator on August 16, 2017.  He was 92 years old.  Born in Cavite, Philippines to the late General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of Philippine Republic and Amparo Arac.  He is survived by his loving wife Wendelina of 70 years, 8 children- Angel, Ellen, Evie, Esther, Emie, Edwina, Lily and Lulu, and their spouses.  Jose is loved and adored by many especially his 22 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren whom he cherished every single day.  He is also survived by his youngest brother Delfin and many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by another brother Angel.

Jose served as a Philippine Scout in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned the rank of Sergeant while achieving an all around mechanic skill for a variety of war vehicles. It was the same trade skill that directly led him to running a logging concession in the high mountains of Philippine provinces. The discipline and patriotism he displayed in the military service never left him, as friends and family will attest.  He started his family in the historic town of Kawit, Cavite, the birth place of many Philippine revolutions against the Spaniards which were dutifully led by his late father General E. Aguinaldo. In 1973, Jose emigrated to the USA in solemn search for a better life for his fast growing family. With hard work, perseverance and unrelenting resolve to succeed, he successfully brought the whole family to the USA, settling permanently in San Jose, CA in the late 70's.  From the Philippines to Hawaii and then to California, he devoted his full life in aspiring only the best for his family.  He enjoyed driving and loved to travel far with his own toy (car).  Telling war stories was his favorite subject when spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.
