**In Loving Memory of Kanu**

It is with deep sorrow and many loving memories that we announce the passing of Kanaiyalal Madhvani, 73, who peacefully passed away on October 1, surrounded by loved ones.  Kanu (like a row boat, as he loved to say) was born on September 24, 1951, in India and was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, colleague, and mentor.

Kanu came to the United States in 1974 for college.  He attended San Jose State University and Stanford University.  He began his career as a manufacturing engineer and, later, worked as a consultant and project manager.  His kindness, generosity, and love for life and food touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Kanu is survived by his mother, wife, four children, five grandchildren, four siblings, and many nieces and nephews.  The family will hold a memorial service to honor and celebrate Kanu on Saturday, October 5, at 10am at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation in Saratoga.  All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any charity in honor of Kanu.
