Mr. Kantilal Harilal Khokhani, 92, of Saratoga, California, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Born on November 18, 1932, in Mumbai, India, to the late Shantaben and late Harilal Khokhani, Kantibhai's life was defined by curiosity, courage, and quiet strength. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at UDCT India before journeying to the United States in 1962 to further pursue his dreams. He continued his studies at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, where he earned his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.

Kantibhai went on to build a long and distinguished career with IBM, Mentor Graphics, and Cooper and Chyan Technologies (now Cadence Design Systems). His innovative mind contributed to several notable patents, including "The Design of Printed Circuit Layouts by Computer."

In 1969, Kantibhai married Pallavi Shah (late), and together they began their life in Wappingers Falls, New York, before eventually settling in Saratoga, California in 1986.

Kantibhai is survived by his daughter Archana Khokhani of Saratoga; his son Nirvan Khokhani of Colorado; and his cherished grandchildren Kanon and Anya, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister Neelam Shah, of Fremont, and six nieces and nephews.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kantibhai was a man of many talents. He was a top-notch bridge, chess, and carrom player, known for his strategic mind and love of friendly competition. Whether at the game table or in conversation, he approached every challenge with patience, thoughtfulness, and wit.

A lifelong supporter of his community and faith, Kantibhai and his wife were Original Life Benefactors and long-time supporters of the Jain Center of Northern California (JCNC).

Kantibhai will be remembered for his thoughtful nature, integrity, and deep love for his family. He lived with humility and grace, always leading by example. His wisdom, kindness, and gentle humor will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.

A private cremation and service will be held on Thursday, October 30th.
