Karl F. Humowiecki (86) passed away on May 5, 2026 in Saratoga, CA. He was born in Elmwood Park, IL and spent most of his life in the Chicago area. He graduated from St. Procopius College (Benedictine University) and had a nearly 40 year career with the Internal Revenue Service.  Karl was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, who also enjoyed travel, fine wine, and cruises. He was a proud father of three daughters and grandfather to four grandsons.

Karl will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years Elizabeth, daughters Catherine (Gene), Michelle (Ryan), and Jennifer (Damien), grandchildren Evan, Riley, Elliot, and Owen, siblings Stephen (Judy) and Valerie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Villas at Saratoga for years of taking excellent care of Karl. Visitation will be held May 13, 2026 from 2-4pm at Alameda Family funeral home in Saratoga, CA. A funeral mass will be held May 14, 2026 at 11am at Queen of Apostles Church in San Jose, CA. Funeral attire or Karl's favorite color blue are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National MS Society.
