Kenneth Ray
Pacheco
Feb 25, 1951 — Sep 16, 2019
Los Banos
Kenneth was born in Sylacauga, Alabama to Clarence Pacheco and Sara Bernice (Lightsey) Pacheco and was the oldest of their 4 children.
Ken moved to California when he was 12 and shortly after the family moved to San Jose where he lived for the next 35 years.
In 1974 Ken met the women he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and in October of 1977 Kenneth married Kathleen Stevens, becoming both husband and Dad to her two children. A role he never took lightly and with great pride. A role he never regretted.
Ken worked as a support engineer from 1975 for the disk drive industry in "Silicon Valley" of San Jose where he worked until he retired in 2005.
As a young boy Ken (as he was known to friends and family) loved to read especially action hero comic books. Reading became a hobby that Ken enjoyed his entire life with some of his favorite authors being John Grisham and Bill O'Riley. He enjoyed radio talk shows such as "The Savage Nation" and "Hanity" among others and an avid fan of Fox News.
He loved the banter between he and his cousin when it came to politics and often landed himself in trouble, teetering very close to the edge and she many times wanted to push him over.
Ken was always teasing and joking making people laugh. His wife says "He made me laugh every day".
Ken loved it his family and always put them in top priority. To him "Ohana" was everything.
He was a true believer in Jesus Christ always answering the call for prayer for those in need.
Ken is survived by his wife, Kathy of 42 years, daughter Korin (Dan) McEwen, son Kevin (Kirsten) Stevens. 6 grandchildren: Brandon (Megan) Burdett, Brice (Jessica) Burdett, and Kyle Jackson. Tyler Stevens, Spencer Stevens, granddaughter Zoe Stevens and great granddaughter Kemlyn Burdett. Brothers Clarence Jr. (JoAnn) and Terry Pacheco and Sister Martha Ann Pacheco. Nephews John and Gary Pacheco and Niece, Lenay Pacheco.
In lieu of flowers the family requests considering a donation to The American Heart Society.
