Liang Lee, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 19, 1950, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Liang's life was defined by his unwavering love for family, passion for engineering, and endless curiosity about the world.

The second of five children, Liang grew up in a close-knit family, guided by strong values of perseverance, kindness, and a deep appreciation for education. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan, before pursuing his Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering at the University of Iowa. His career took him to Bechtel and the Santa Clara Valley Water District, where his expertise shaped major engineering projects, including the construction of a power plant in China. His contributions are widely recognized in professional journals and conferences.

After retiring in 2016, Liang embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a love for travel. He explored 44 countries and 357 cities, immersing himself in different cultures and experiences. Sundays were sacred - filled with family gatherings, laughter, and home-cooked meals. He found joy in cooking, playing basketball, and lifelong learning, always eager to expand his knowledge and perspectives.. In his later years, he dedicated himself to environmental sustainability, determined to leave the world a better place for future generations.

Liang will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, wisdom, and steadfast dedication to those he loved. He is survived by his loving wife, devoted sons and daughter-in-laws, cherished siblings, and many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy.

His warmth, intellect, and adventurous spirit will forever be missed.

李祖良,我深愛的丈夫、也是一位父親、兄弟,於 2025 年 2 月 5 日平靜的辭世,享年 74 歲。 祖良於 1950 年 12 月 19 日出生於台灣高雄,他的一生充滿了對工程、探索和家庭的濃厚熱情。

祖良在台灣台南國立成功大學獲得土木工程學士學位,隨後在愛荷華大學取得水利工程博士學位。他傑出的職業生涯將他帶到了Bechtel公司和聖克拉拉谷水區,在那裡他在工程項目中發揮了關鍵作用,包括在中國建造一座發電廠,並多次在國際專業會議中演講。他的專業知識透過專業期刊和技術會議上的大量出版物,得到了廣泛認可。

祖良熱愛旅行,2016年退休後, 我們的足跡遍佈44個國家、357個城市。他也喜愛為家人朋友烹飪, 他在烹飪、遊輪和旅行中找到了最大的樂趣,我們日常最重要的活動,是每週日與孩子們聚餐。在近年,他堅定地致力於環境永續發展,並努力盡一己之力,把他所珍惜的世界變的更好。

祖良將因其善良、慷慨、智慧和樂於助人而被人們銘記。他身後留下了他親愛的妻子、愛他的兒子們、親愛的兄弟姐妹以及許多侄女和侄子。
