Anne Torino, a loving wife and mother, of Saratoga, California, passed away on May 11, 2022.
Anne was born on February 8, 1968 in Quezon City, Philippines to her parents Arador R. Sambo and Angelinda Antiporda. She was the second of their three children. Anne graduated from Stella Maris College in Quezon City, Philippines. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Anne migrated to the United States of America in 1993. She was accepted into Stanford University for their Pre-Medical program and opted to start working as a Registered Nurse.
Anne married Raymon P. Torino on July 8, 2006 and lived in Santa Clara, California. The couple welcomed their first child, Rayanne, on September 4, 2007, and their second child, Ryan, on December 18, 2010. The family later moved to Saratoga, California, where they currently reside.
Anne loved caring for her family, spending time with them, and traveling. She was very fond of teaching her kids about science, medicine, and nursing. Anne adored her kids as she attended and supported all of their functions and activities. She had a great love for Italy, especially the city of Torino, where Anne and Ray went for their honeymoon. Anne also enjoyed shopping, clubbing, dancing, playing the piano, and singing at church.
Anne worked as a Registered Nurse for Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, California, Regional Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California, and Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton, California. She was most recently an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Jose, California.
Anne was dedicated to her nursing profession by caring for people and the well-being of others. She was an amazing and compassionate nurse who always took care of her patients with kindness and a smile. From her Kaiser Permanente family, "Anne will be remembered fondly as she touched the lives of her colleagues and the people she helped every day in her role as an ICU nurse."
Anne is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Rayanne, and son Ryan. She is also survived by her mother Angelinda Sambo, brother and sister-in-law Jun and Rita Sambo, sister Arlene Sambo, niece Shaine Sambo, nephew Alex Sambo, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Maria and Brian Chiang, sister-in-law Jasmin Torino, and niece-in-law Megan Chiang.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10 AM and funeral mass at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Saratoga, California.
Anne Torino will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos, California after the funeral mass. Reception will follow at China Stix Restaurant in Santa Clara, California.
