MaryAnn Stowell died peacefully on December 21, 2021 in Saratoga, CA. shortly before her 86 ^th birthday. Born on December 26, 1935 in Tacoma, WA, she was the oldest child of Pearl and Wilford Henry Gonyea.  MaryAnn was an active volunteer for Catala Club and De Saisset Museum of Santa Clara University.  She was instrumental in planning diocesan masses and group events for the ministry for divorced and separated Catholics. She had many passions such as gardening, teaching, flower arranging, and traveling, but she was most passionate and proud of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother Joseph Gonyea (JoMae) and sister Joyce Davidson (Richard, deceased). She will be dearly remembered by her three daughters Pamela Palma (Ronald), Patricia Mikhail (Kamal) and Kathleen Demirbey (Bulent) and grandchildren Nicole, Justin and Katie Demirbey and George and Sarah Mikhail as well as nine nieces and nephews. MaryAnn was married in 1962 to Robert Stowell and they enjoyed many happy years together. Although no longer married, they remained friends until his death in 2016.  MaryAnn will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who were touched by her kindness and love.

Viewing and rosary is scheduled at the Alameda Family Funeral and Cremation in Saratoga, California on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 7 pm.  A Vimeo link will be provided for family and friends who cannot join the service in person.  A Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga, CA 95070 on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:30 am.
