Michael R. Duarte passed away peacefully surrounded by his father, mother, step-brother and sisters on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born November 21, 1967 in Santa Clara, CA. He is survived by his mother, Mary Sollenberger and father, Ralph Duarte, Jr., two sisters: Debbie Tavares and Lisa Anibarro (Luis), two step-brothers: Ralph and Frank Mendoza, his nieces, Kristine and Danielle and nephews, Travis, Daniel and Michael. He leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a devoted employee of Safeway for 10 years and a member of the UFCW union. He was a die-hard Steeler fan and an avid gardener.
He will be missed dearly by all and forever remembered for his wonderful personality, great sense of humor, sensitivity and big heart.
