At the end of May, Mike was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. At that time he was accepted into a clinical research trial at Stanford Hospital. Mike was positive about his treatment and ready to beat this nasty cancer! Sadly, he succumbed to this sudden battle with cancer on Monday July 19.
Michael was a loving husband who delighted in his wife Megan; a loving father to
his son Gavin and baby daughter Madison, his stepdaughter Bella. He leaves his dearly beloved brother and best friend David Paradise. Michael was a thoughtful, caring son to his mother Martha Burns, and his father Bob Paradise and stepmother Kathie Paradise. Michael was a bright light to his many cousins and friends. He was an avid baseball fan of the Giants, and was known as the "clean up hitter" in soft ball tournaments in Santa Clara County.
The Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Alameda Family Mortuary in Saratoga. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Ascension Church in Saratoga. The Mass will be followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos.
Friends and family are invited to join together at Our Lady of Ascension Church Hall for an Italian Dinner following the Cemetery. Please honor Michael's memory with your attendance.
