Morley Holmes passed away peacefully on March 22, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 65 year, Arlene Holmes, their daughters Susan Porter and Linda Callihan; Susan's husband Barry Porter and their children Amy Rollins and Matthew Porter; and Linda's husband David Callihan and their children Ryan, Michael and Melanie Callihan.

Morley was born in Chicago, moved to California as a child and grew up in Los Angeles. He graduated from UCLA in 1950. After his service in the Navy he went on to earn a Masters in Education from San Francisco State University.   Morley and Arlene moved to San Jose in 1956 where he taught elementary school in the San Jose Unified School District for 33 years until retiring in 1988. He was very active in the community serving as President of the local Lions Club chapter and serving on the Board of Directors for the Santa Clara Valley Blind Center. Morley was also very actively involved in his church attending Saratoga Presybterian Church (Now Menlo Church) for the last 40 years. Morley was a devoted and caring husband and father.
