Myron Gale Forsyth, 89, passed away peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, faith, and quiet strength.

Born in 1936 in Portland, OR. Mike attended Warner Pacific University and Lewis & Clark College, receiving degrees in Theology and Biology. He also enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country in the medical corps while learning to fly at the USAF Aero Club. After his military service, Mike translated his love of flight into a distinguished career as a commercial airline pilot and check airman with Trans World Airlines. For more than thirty years, he guided passengers safely across the country and around the world. After retirement, he continued to provide flight instruction and pilot his antique J3 Piper Cub.

When he wasn't in the cockpit, Mike could often be found on the slopes or out on the open road. An avid skier from his early years through much of his life, he pursued the sport with the same passion he brought to everything he loved. He also enjoyed taking to the road on his bicycle – completing a 70-mile ride on his 70th birthday.

Mike was ever present for the people around him. He was the kind of man who never needed a reason to help – only the opportunity. His faith was the foundation of everything. A devoted and active member of his church community, Mike lived out his beliefs.

Mike was twice blessed in love. He shared many devoted years with his first wife, Louella, whose memory he carried with him always. In his later years, he found companionship again in his marriage to Priscilla until her passing.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Louella and Priscilla, and his son, Bryan (Valerie). He is survived by his son, Jeff (Laura) and four grandchildren: Liam, Kyra, Hayden and Remy, who carry forward the warmth and character he poured into this family.

All who knew Mike are welcome to come celebrate a life well and generously lived on April 18th, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Church of God San Jose, 937 Minnesota Ave.
