Nancy Marie Trapp's Obituary
Nancy Marie Trapp was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was the elder daughter of James and Sadie Hoyt. She is survived by her sister Sally, her three sons, Robert, Stephen and David, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She attended the University of Illinois from 1951 - 1953, married Robert F. Trapp in 1953, and raised three children. She and her family lived in Dayton Ohio, Los Angeles, California, and Falls Church, Virginia. Nancy moved to Saratoga, California, in 1979 and lived there the rest of her life. In the early 1980s, she received a BA and a MA in Geography from San Jose State University. She worked as an insurance agent for Prudential for nearly 20 years. She had the opportunity to travel extensively. She played bridge, often made her own clothes, and was a keen student of current events. Nancy died on March 27, 2017 at Stanford Hospital. She was 83. Her passing was peaceful and gentle, and she was surrounded by family. Nancy made friends everywhere she lived. She was a woman of warmth, humor, intelligence, independence, common sense and integrity. She was loved and will be missed.

One of her sons said of her: "God's greatest gift to us is life. Our gift to Him is what we do with our life. I believe that God is greatly pleased with Nancy's gift to Him. Her life was well lived. I know that she now dwells in Paradise."
As per her wishes her remains were cremated and will be scattered at sea.
A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday April 28th at 11:00 AM in Saratoga, California.
