Narsizo "Tony"
- Ramon
Jun 7, 1926 — Jan 10, 2018
San Jose
Narsizo Tenoch "Tony" Ramon was born to Ignacia & Zaragoza Ramon and raised in Stratford, TX. A WWII veteran, he served as an Aviation Ordinance Man in the Navy, and was Honorably Discharged at Moffett Field in 1950.
He made the Bay Area his home after his time in the Navy, working as a shipping supervisor for 32 years at Container Corporation of America, in Santa Clara.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Edeane, and their five sons; Phil (Dori), Mark (Cindy), James (Kandace), Michael, Ed (Bertha); eight grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren; his sisters Amelia Miller, Esy Fields, and brother Fin Ramon.
His many hobbies included gardening, fishing, coin collecting, camping, bowling, barbecuing, and golfing. He volunteered and served on the board of both Homestead Little League and Santa Clara Boys Baseball. Tony was also an artisan woodworker, crafting clocks, frames, bowls, and beautiful furniture pieces. He loved watching old movies, especially westerns, and following sports. He was a longtime fan of the 49ers and the Giants.
Tony cherished time spent with his family, was always quick with a joke, and loved telling "when I was your age" stories to his grandchildren. He was undeniably passionate, forthright, and tenacious, and that intensity of spirit persists in his sons and grandchildren. His love, guidance, and sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
