Patricia J. (Bell) Friederich, 94, passed away on December 1, 2021 in Campbell, CA after a short illness following a fall.  Born in Alton, IL on September 30, 1927, she was the second child of Lela Bernice (Goddard) and William Kenneth Bell.  She is survived by sons Thomas and Robert (Lorna Tan), daughter Brenda, granddaughter Jamila Sanfaz, great granddaughter Jayla Martinez, brother Richard Bell, 100 (Louise), of Gardnerville, NV and many nieces and nephews.  Her parents and husband of 70 years, James B. Friederich predeceased her.  After a few years working at the Hartford Tannery on the emerging IBM computer punch card system, she and Jimmy made a much-loved home in Rosewood Heights, IL.  After retiring, they spent many years as snowbirds in San Diego, CA finally settling the last years in Campbell with her daughter's family.  Memorial Mass service is scheduled at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in San Jose, CA at noon on Saturday, December 18, 2021 (live on ZOOM too; https://dsj.zoom.us/j/450372375 ) followed by a luncheon.  In lieu of flowers, spread an act (or 2) of kindness or encouragement in her memory.
