Paul was born in Perkasie, PA and graduated from Souderton High School and Penn State University (BS, MS Electrical Engineering). He lived in Willow Glen, after having been a Saratoga resident for almost fifty years.

Paul married his sweetheart, Virginia (Ginny), in 1954, and they recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. They were blessed with daughters Carol and Joan and son William (Bill). Paul is survived by his wife, Virginia, daughters Carol (Rick) Callejon and their children Drew and Davis, Joan (Paul) Lockie, and their children Matthew and Jeffrey and son Bill Brobst. He is also survived by his sisters, Martha Reumann and Lois Johnston and extended family. His was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen (Weber) Brobst and his brother William.

After serving in the Air Force as an officer in the NSA, Paul was employed by various companies including NCR, XEROX and Ricoh (Dacom, Rapicom). He was a pioneer and expert in digital facsimile network applications. A long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Saratoga, he was a choir stalwart (with Ginny always by his side), member of the men's club. A Penn State football diehard. An accomplished bridge master, gardener and golfer. Member of SIR (Sons of Retirement) of West Santa Clara, Branch 21 and the Saratoga Men's Club. He will be fondly remembered for his love of life, humor (and ice cream!).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Saratoga and Habitat for Humanity . Memorial Service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 14103 Saratoga Avenue, Saratoga, Saturday, January 20 at 1:00 pm.
