Persa Kralj passed peacefully into God's hands on Wednesday evening May 24, 2023.

Persa was born on April 7, 1934, in Popovo Poljice, near the city of Trebinje in former Yugoslavia. She was the daughter of Pero Miljevich and Vasiljka Kurilic Miljevich.

She was the eldest of four children, brothers Borislav and Miho and a sister Borika.

In 1956 Persa traveled to England where she married Mirko Kralj and lived happily in the city of Birmingham where they later welcomed their first daughter Milka. In 1962 they left England to move to California where Persa's uncle Mijo Miljevich lived, and they subsequently settled in Saratoga where daughters Ljubica and Jelena were born.

Family and celebration meant everything to Persa. She enjoyed Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthday parties with her family and extended family friends. Her gardening, knitting, crocheting, and baking skills were greatly admired by many, and she enjoyed sharing her knowledge with neighbors and friends.  She was known for her expertise in baking bread, Slavski kolac, as well as 7 layer chocolate cake and cookies all from scratch.  Her children were all blessed with her creative gifts, and we are grateful for her patience in teaching and sharing with us.

Her memory will live on through her loving family: Daughters Milka Kralj, Ljubica Kralj and Jelena Clay; Son in laws Charles Clay, Alan Motooka; Grandchildren Charlie Clay, his wife Anisha Clay, Dylan Clay, Rachel Clay, Milena Motooka, Stone Motooka; Great Grandchildren Sophija and Kiian.

Persa's forgiving and gentle spirit was unparalleled and leaves a void in her children's lives. She is at rest and reunited with her husband.

Persa will be laid to rest on Tuesday May 30, 2023, at 10am at the Serbian Chapel and Cemetery located at 1801 Hillside Blvd, Colma, CA 94014

There will be a Daca- Mercy Meal at the Cemetery Pavilion after she is laid to rest in celebration of Persa's life.
