Pierre Marie Bossaert, 98, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Saratoga, California, surrounded by his devoted children. A man of enduring kindness, humor, and deep love for his family, Pierre's long life was marked by resilience, hard work, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew him.

Born on January 3, 1927, in Kortrijk, Belgium, to Gabriel C. Bossaert and Marie Van Overbergh.  Pierre came of age during one of the most challenging periods in modern history. As a teenager living in occupied Belgium during World War II, he witnessed firsthand the hardships of war. In its aftermath, he joined the Belgian Army where he served by performing mechanical repairs—an early testament to his industrious nature and technical skill.

Pierre pursued higher education in Belgium and earned a degree in civil engineering. He met his future wife in Belgium and with his adventurous spirit followed her to Colorado USA.  Upon arriving in Colorado, he worked on his future father-in-law's ranch.

After marrying Marie-Claire Lagae, Pierre moved to California where he began a successful career in sales with Pella Windows. His natural charisma and dedication propelled him through the ranks to become Vice President of Sales for Northern California. Known as a charming salesman with an impeccable work ethic, Pierre built lasting relationships throughout his career while providing for his growing family.

Pierre and Marie-Claire raised their five children in the Roman Catholic faith—a tradition rooted deeply in Pierre's own upbringing.  Family was at the heart of everything Pierre did. He found immense joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether gathered around the dinner table or sharing stories filled with laughter and light-hearted mischief.  Pierre cherished every moment together. He had an infectious sense of humor and delighted in telling jokes—often becoming the source of laughter himself. Even into his final days, he kept his wit sharp and his smile bright.

Pierre is lovingly remembered by his daughters Sabine Lemmo, Brigitte Klaib, Audrey Bartmess, and Anne-Isabelle Palon; his son Pierre Bossaert; grandchildren Valerie Lemmo; Jennifer Klaib; Kristen Klaib Scalva; Stephanie Klaib Davis; Marie-Claire Bartmess Reer; Eric Bartmess; Michael Bartmess; Austin Channell; Jake Channell; Randee Palon; Keeley Palon; Gabrielle Bossaert; Pierre Bossaert; and Maslin Bossaert.

He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Aspen Scalva; Aubrey Scalva; Andrew Scalva; Lucas Davis; Nathan Davis; Catherine Reer; Audrey Reer; James Reer; John Reer; Zelie Reer; Noelle Reer; Elle Channell; and Emma Channell.

Pierre was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie-Claire Lagae Bossaert as well as by his parents Gabriel C. Bossaert and Marie Van Overbergh Bossaert.

A man who never sought conflict and always chose kindness over confrontation, Pierre lived with grace and humility. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the warmth he brought into every room—and for how deeply he loved being surrounded by family.
