Born in Rochester, New Hampshire, on August 12, 1939, Clint was the youngest child of Kenneth W. and Emma Fellows Dodge. He was preceded in life by his older brother, Kenneth W. Dodge II, and is survived by his sister, Patricia Northrop of Dowling Park, Florida.

Clint graduated from Spaulding High School in 1957, where he served as Senior Class President and excelled as a standout athlete in football, basketball, and track. In recognition of his athletic achievements, he was inducted into the Rochester Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 for his contributions in football and track.

Following high school, Clint attended the U.S. Naval Academy, graduating with the Class of 1962 and playing football during his time there. Following his graduation, Clint served as a military advisor with the Navy's submarine science development division, based in both New London, Connecticut, and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

In 1970, Clint earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. He then moved to the Bay Area in California, where he settled with his family in Saratoga. Over the years, he worked as a commercial consulting engineer for several companies, including Itel and NEC. Later in life, Clint dedicated much of his time to work, and contributing to the development and improvement of retirement communities and institutions such as Bellarmine College Preparatory School in San Jose.

Clint had a deep passion for travel and exploration, visiting countries around the world, with a special fondness for Malaysia, where he formed many lasting friendships. Despite his global travels, he always made time to return to his roots, visiting family and spending summers where he spent his childhood in Alton Bay, on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire.

He is survived by his son, Britton J. Dodge, and daughter-in-law, Keiko O. Dodge of Canyon Lake, California; his grandchildren, Aden M. Dodge, Ian S. Dodge, and Hanna T. Dodge; his sister, Patricia Northrop; and several nieces, nephews, and cherished friends around the world.

A private family ceremony was held on May 31, 2025, at Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation in Saratoga, California.
