Robert P. Wheeler Jr. (Bob), born on October 30, 1936, in Keene, NH, peacefully passed away on November 17, 2024, at Villa Fontana Retirement Community in San Jose, CA, after a brief illness. He was the only son of Robert and Helen Wheeler and brother to his two sisters, Margery and Francine.

Bob shared a beautiful journey of life with his wife Joan, and together they raised their son, Kevin. He was a proud grandfather to Nora and Zachary, who brought immense joy to his life.

Bob earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of New Hampshire. Following his graduation from the ROTC program, he served honorably in the U.S. Army, a testament to his commitment and patriotism.

Professionally, Bob had a distinguished career, retiring as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at SIMS Portex in Keene, NH. Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was a man of many passions. He found joy in woodworking, especially woodturning, and was always engaged in home improvement projects. His love for photography led him to capture the breathtaking beauty of national parks during his travels.

In his community, Bob was an active member of the Sons In Retirement organization in San Jose, CA, where he formed many friendships. He will be remembered for his kindness, positive outlook on life, and the legacy of love and generosity he left behind.

Bob will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Joan in the Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene, NH. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
